1852: A hospital was constructed in Paris on the rue de Picpus, by a foundation established by James de Rothschild.
1869: The Evelina Hospital in London was found by Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1860 in memory of his late wife Evelina.
1875: The Clementine Children’s Hospital, Frankfurt, was established by Louise von Rothschild and provided free care for girls and young women.
1891: The Charles-James de Rothschild Hospital, Oise, France, was founded by Laura Thérèse de Rothschild as a dispensary and a hospital
1896: The Bettina Pavilion, Vienna, was founded by Albert von Rothschild in memory of his wife. The Foundation provided 60 beds for the care of women.
1925: Nelly de Rothschild created the first anti-tuberculosis and anti-venereal dispensary at Oise which also provided nutrition advice.
Many of these institutions still continue to support their communities today.
